MICRO-WEDDINGS • PHOTOSHOOTS • SMALL GATHERINGS
Barn 46 is a restored 1853 Dutch barn in Stuyvesant, NY, on the quiet edge of the Hudson Valley. We host elopements, photoshoots, and intimate gatherings for up to 20 people—straightforward events under two hours.
The Space
Our hayloft features original mortise-and-tenon craftsmanship, a 25-foot pitched ceiling, and abundant natural light that floods the space throughout the day. The restoration was thoughtful—we kept the authentic character intact while making necessary structural updates. Reclaimed wood from the first church in town was incorporated into the barn, adding another layer of local history to the space. It's rustic without being overly styled, with exposed beams and worn wood that photograph well and feel genuine. The first floor includes a preparation room, and outside there are mature grounds with gardens and old willows.
For Elopements & Micro-Ceremonies
We keep it simple: ceremony space, photographer, officiant, and local florist recommendations. You bring your people, say your vows, toast with champagne, take your photos, and that's it. We also take last-minute bookings if your timeline is tight.
For Photoshoots & Gatherings
The barn and grounds provide an authentic backdrop for portrait sessions, brand photoshoots, or small gatherings. The historic architecture and natural setting do the work—you just need to show up.
What We Don't Do
We don't offer catering, kitchen facilities, reception services, or extended event times. If you're planning a full wedding with dinner and dancing, we're not the right fit.
ABOUT THE OWNER:
In 2020, this mid-century modern, Cali-girl, left the lockdown haze of Brooklyn behind and landed in rural upstate New York with a pre-Civil War house, and a barn that was itching for some attention.
I had zero renovation experience, but I knew the world didn’t need another polished “influencer’s” take on a Dutch Farmhouse. So, I restored it—kept the original wood, the mortise and tenon joinery, gave it a new foundation to keep it square, and reinforced it with steel so it’ll stand another 150 years.
It’s got a vibe—not polished, not perfect, but flooded with light and full of character.
Think: textured wood, tucked-away rustic corners, wide open space, natural light and layers of history in every beam.
